Fun Facts

I love to spend time with my family, work with animals, be outdoors, and play sports. Volleyball is my favorite sport although I enjoy trying to play all sports. I tried out for the reality show Survivor many years ago. I have 2 miniature Dachshunds, who love to keep me busy.

About Me

I was born in Seoul, Korea. Moved to San Antonio, Texas, and started 1st grade as an ESL/ELL student. I have one son who is a senior at Texas A&M. He is graduating with a bachelor's degree this summer in Environmental Science, and is applying to get his master's degree in science/texas/houston">computer science. I've always wanted to have lots of kids and ended up with 1 permanent child and 23-26 new ones every year. :-) I love working with kids!

Experience

I am a retired elementary teacher with 26 years of experience with 4th-6th graders. I was the 5th-grade team leader for 3 years, lead coordinator for our school's STEAM/Science Night for 16 years, certified to teach sped, 504, GT/TAG students,

Approach

My educational philosophy focuses on the whole student and providing scaffolded support that leads to independent thinkers. I believe students have the greatest potential for growth when their needs are met and their academic expectations are within the zone of proximal development.
