I like to help create possibilities where there is a need. I also love doggies!

My neighborhood needed a dog park. So I rounded up my dog loving neighbors to help convince the city one was needed.After gathering signatures on a petition and going before the City Council, our fur kids now have a wonderful off leash park to run, socialize and play.

About Me

I have a diverse professional career starting with teaching Spanish at the Senior HS level and then transitioning to the business world. I was self employed for over 30 yrs as a consultant to evaluate and train their sales agents employed by new home builders. Returning to my teaching roots, I am currently tutoring young children in reading and writing.

Experience

Besides starting out teaching Spanish at the senior HS level after graduation, I also did substitute teach for a few years in northern CA and on the island of Maui. I am currently tutoring students from pre-K through 4th grade. I cover reading, writing, reading comprehension and of course Spanish.

Approach

I believe every student has their own path to learning. One size does not fit all. I work with each student to assess and evaluate their learning style and ability and then I can tailor an effective learning platform to meet their needs. For the youngest students I need to balance a fun activity and the learning experience. I believe in rewards no matter how simple they may be.
