About Me

I am a physician starting a residency in Psychiatry.

Majoring in neurobiology with a focus on addiction at UT-Austin, my passion for the subject propelled my academic achievement: I ventured outside of standard coursework, researched molecular targets for alcoholism, and led innovative multidisciplinary wellness programs. In addition, I completed the Halliburton/McCombs School of Business Program gaining a well-rounded understanding of Finance, Management, Advertising, and Accounting. I then completed four years of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine receiving my MD there and focused on gaining exposure to Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry (including neurophysiology, psychopharmacology, and the art of therapeutic technique). I also nurtured my passion for counseling and mentorship and proved my ability to work as part of a diverse, high-functioning, efficient team. I distinguished myself as a resourceful and down-to-earth clinician and found great satisfaction in changing patients’ lives through compassion, intuitive reasoning, and intervention. I then subsequently completed my primary internship in Las Vegas, Nevada, and developed a strong interest in financial analysis and the overlap between molecular biology and biotechnology, exposing myself to hundreds of academic journal articles and becoming adept at quickly pulling out relevant detail and drawing useful conclusions from the literature.
