I have hot feet. I am constantly moving and exploring new cultures. I like to cook for people and experience culture through good food and music.

About Me

I have over 5 years of experience teaching children and adults beginner to advanced level English as well as conversational and business English. I am from sunny San Diego and have had 43 trips around the sun!

Experience

I have more than years of teaching experience:
2 years at Yangjeong Elem. School – EPIK (English Program in Korea) – Teaching ESL to 3rd-6th graders – February 2017-February 2019
1.5 years at English College – Poland – ESL to children (5 years and up) and adults – online and in-class – September 2019 – July 2020
2 years+ at the Academy of New York – ESL to children (7 years and up) and adults – online – September 2020 – February 2023

Approach

When I was young, I said I wanted to be 3 things: A nurse (like my hero mother), A singer (like Janet Jackson), or a Teacher (like Mrs. Whaley, my 3rd-grade teacher).

I didn't become a nurse because I don't like seeing people in pain.
I didn't become a singer because my parents didn't invest in my LIMITED dancing and singing ability.

I became a teacher because I know how it feels when you don't feel like you can learn something (for me...math), that is painful to people who watch others grasp
