Fun Facts
I used to be a professional soccer player for the U-17 Colombian National Team. I then chose to further my studies, majoring in Mechanical Engineering for 3 semesters in La Universidad de los Andes, Bogota,Colombia. I then moved back to Miami where I earned my Associates in Chemistry, and I am now working towards my double major in Biomedical Engineering/Physics.
About Me
I am currently a student at Florida International University, double majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Physics. My current GPA = 3.69. I plan to attend Graduate School (Perhaps MD-PhD program or Bioengineering graduate School). My holistic approach to learning, bridging concepts from physics/mathematics/chemistry/biology, is what I believe sets me apart from others in my career.
I have mainly tutored college students, as well as high-school students. For mathematics, I have tutored ranging from basic mathematics, such as Algebra I/II, to advanced mathematics, such as Calculus I-III and Ordinary Differential Equations. As for science subjects, I have tutored from high school Biology to Genetics at the university level, as well as high school physics-college Physics I and II.
One of my goals in miami">tutoring others is to help the student to develop a strong foundation in the subject matter. It is my belief that understanding where theories/equations arise from is essential for any student to succeed in any science/math class. As is true with anything in life, practice makes perfect. By creating a personalized lesson plan and taking into account the student's strength/weaknesses, the student will gradually expand his toolbox, as well as developing the critical thinking skills that are necessary for problem solving.
