Fun Facts
I enjoy designing and building robots, similar to the ones on the TV show - "BattleBots"....it's been a great way to meet a variety of people passionate about creating a creative and collaborative community...
I also enjoy traveling and meeting new people who enjoy hiking and biking in our national parks throughout the state of Texas.
About Me
I am a construction manager for a Texas free public charter school district.
I help to make sure that our Texas wide-district is building safe and healthy new schools throughout the state of Texas that stimulate our students to achieve a great education in multiple languages and become global leaders in various communities.
Experience
My work experience spans over 20 years in designing, coordinating, and managing construction projects from residential homes to institutional buildings. I have also taught and instructed various design courses from 2D/3D CAD software and other construction courses for a local Adult Community & Education program for 14 years.
Approach
When I was a child growing up, I always enjoyed building and designing things without computers...As technology started to become more inclusive and improved when I was growing up...I learned how to work with and on computers, especially designing software from 2D to 3D modeling.
I understand the struggles of working with computers and 2D/3D modeling software and I have taught a wide range of young adults to older adults how to use CAD software to improve their design creativity and passions
AutoCAD Tutoring
My past education was from AutoCAD release 12 and throughout my architectural career as a CAD Designer and Project Manager has provided me work experience in various versions of AutoCAD 2000 through 2023 version that I currently use for my daily project manager career.
SketchUp Tutoring
My past and current work and educational experiences using SketchUp has provided my past clients many architectural design 3D modeling options in residential projects. I am currently using SketchUp in designing a BattleBot robot for future competition and to be part of a future taping of the BattleBot TV show on Discovery channel.
Adobe InDesign Tutoring
I have been using Adobe InDesign for digitial architectural presentation boards for my school district to review 2D and 3D represenations of our what our new school building will look like on school property site.
I also work with Adobe InDesign for setting up digital architectural portfoilo presentations of our new school campuses in which I'm a construction manager working on building schools thoughout the state of Texas.
Revit Tutoring
My 20 years experience in the architectural design field has provided me 15 years experience using Revit software from the beginning when Revit software was divided up in several modules of 2D and 3D modeling software in Building, Structure and MEP modules.
I am currently using Revit 2023 that has been developed from few years ago combining all 3 modules of Building, Structure and MEP into a single Revit software package which been a great architectural 3D modeling experience.
