Fun Facts
I speak four languages! I speak English, French, Tagalog, Kampampangan (a dialect of the Philippines), and English. I have studied in the United States, the Philippines, and Australia. I have been to seven countries and my goal is to be a polyglot and travel the world!
About Me
I am currently doing a legum baccalaureus program or an international law degree with the University of London at the London School of Politics and Economics campus. My educational background mostly consists of political science and criminal justice and I am well-versed with the American governmental and legal system. My strongest major would be English and Humanities as these subjects are integral for any future attorney.
Experience
Since 2016, I have tutored students from around the world through a Japanese language-learning website called "Cafetalk". Through this platform, I have taught English as a Second Language and high school subjects to over 300 students with well over 1,100 lessons taught so far. I also work as a grant manager and I have served a non-profit called, "Fifty Shades of Purple Against Bullying" where I led a team of grant writers and I have written proposals and grant appeals to secure funding
Approach
I find that it is important that the student must talk more than the teacher. For me, if a student can fully participate in a lesson, then I know that it was a great lesson. For a student to immerse themselves well into a lesson, they must feel encouraged and given the tools needed to be able to take on the task at hand. I use different strategies such as visual aids, music, written excerpts, etc. for a student to approach a learning exercise with more than one approach.
