English Tutoring

Teaching English in Elementary school, it is so important to learn the basics before you start to build. Having a strong foundational base in Language is crucial to student success. I have experience teaching reading, writing, phonics, comprehension, and word studies.

Elementary Math Tutoring

I taught math every day in several different grade levels during my time as a teacher. I have experience teaching 2nd, 3rd, and kindergarten math skills such as number correspondence, addition skills, word problems, subtraction skills, multiplication, division, algebra, and pre-algebra.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I worked with a reading specialist and a handful of students who needed additional reading help with fluency, accuracy, and comprehension. Practice is so important for these developing readers.

Science Tutoring

I taught elementary science for years including earth science, life science, matter, force of motion, gravity, weather, etc.

Social Studies Tutoring

I taught social studies for years including history of the United States, state history, national, local, and state government, how to be a good citizen, responsibility, and community helpers.

Study Skills Tutoring

As a teacher I know how important it is to establish strong study skills early on in your academic career! Having someone guide you can be very beneficial. I can help your student learn how to "chunk" up assignments, how to stay calm when learning knew or challenging things, how to keep your work area clean and tidy, and how to memorize important concepts with many tricks of the trade.

Reading Tutoring

Teaching reading is so important to me as a teacher and as a book lover myself! I want kids to enjoy and grow in their confidence of reading. I taught reading small groups and whole groups daily during my time as a classroom teacher.
