In my free time, I like to make ikebana flower arrangements. It's a hobby of mine that I love to do and hope to one day be certified in.

About Me

I am a senior at the University of Albany currently taking online courses to finish my degree. My goal after I graduate is to work in the non-profit field helping the community.

Experience

I had the rare opportunity to help tutor college students when I did a year-long study abroad program in Japan. I also have tutored my nieces who are in middle school with their homework and helped them to make study guides for tests.

Approach

My approach to tutoring is to give visual and verbal examples because not everyone takes in and processes information the same way. A lot of the time when I go to class I have to rework and simplify it in a way that's easy for me to grasp and memorize. Being patient and understanding is also key since some students may need more time to get concepts.
