Fun Facts

I grew up Hasidic, immersed in religious study, but with limited secular education. I later pursued my dream to study science. I also do some acting on the side.

About Me

I am a former adjunct assistant professor (2 semesters, Biology lab) at the City College of New York with many years of tutoring experience, mostly in Talmud. I'm patient, approachable, and committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Experience

In my previous life, I tutored many children in Talmud with great success. As a graduate student at Columbia, I mentored a high school student and a college student in my lab, who both went on to prestigious schools. As an adjunct professor, I spent a lot of time helping students outside of class.

Approach

In my Hasidic upbringing, studying in pairs ("chavrusa") was essential to nearly everything we studied, something I missed a lot when I later went to college. I believe that the Chavrusa method would benefit students at every level of their education. Growing up, I was often the one explaining the material to my study partner. My successful track record and confidence in explaining things carried over naturally to my tutoring students after I graduated.
