About Me
I am a recent graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University while being on the Deans's Honor Roll for 2 consecutive years.
Experience
During my undergraduate career at Wilfrid Laurier University, I was a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 as well as Physics 1. Furthermore, I was a tutor at the Accessible Learning Center tutoring Statistics 1, General Chemistry 1, and 2 as well as a variety of freshman and Upper-level biology and psychology courses.
Approach
As a student entering University, I struggled developing habits in my freshmen classes. I came across a variety of tutors with different approaches and I quickly learned the approach that worked with my previous students as a tutor myself. I believe in teaching students with a variety of different approaches (visual as well as explaining in different ways) and motivation was a huge success factor. I instilled belief in my students and in turn, they started believing in themselves which helped.

Psychology and Neuroscience
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
Taken Anatomy 1 as well as Physiology 1 obtaining A- and A in the respected courses. Started volunteering as a Research Assistant in my anatomy professors lab in my Senior year which strengthened my knowledge of anatomy. Helped students in physiology as a Resident Assistant as well.
Biology I Tutoring
Developed a high understanding in biology while assisting my students as a Resident Assistant. Have taken several upper year courses in Biology that also aided my knowledge. Did well in all upper year biology courses.
Biochemistry Tutoring
Acquired a 92% in Biochemistry 1. Tutored my students as a Resident Assistant in Biochemistry 1 as well.
Organic Chemistry I Tutoring
Acquired a 92% in Organic Chemistry 1. Became a Teaching Assistant in Organic Chemistry 1. Tutored students in Organic Chemistry 1 in my spare time.
Organic Chemistry II Tutoring
Acquired a 94% in Organic Chemistry 2. Became a Teaching Assistant in Organic Chemistry 2. Tutored students in Organic Chemistry 2 in my spare time.
Psychology Tutoring
Obtained a major GPA at 3.7 while taking various different psychology courses. Tutored a variety of different psychology courses throughout my undergraduate career.
Advance Statistics Tutoring
Acquired an A in Statistics in my sophomore year. Tutored a handful of students in statistics in my junior and senior year. Statistics was a crucial course as a psychology major.
Farsi Tutoring
Fluent speaker in Farsi having spoken it for all 23 years of my life.
