About Me
I am an undergraduate sophomore English Literature major at San Francisco State University. I am taking the GWAR requirement this coming Fall Semester. Shortly, I'm going to work towards a Master's Degree in the Teaching of College Composition. I love literature and poetry and am very good at writing essays.
Experience
I have been tutoring since I was a senior in high school. I started at GoPeer in 2021. I have tutored a range of middle school students.
Approach
I ensure that all my learners find learning fun. Thus, I tailor my approach and subject matter to accommodate the learner's interests. However, I use the same curriculum for all my students, thus ensuring they receive the maximum benefit from my tutoring. I also explain the structural components of the essay, such as the claims and topic sentences of the body paragraphs. I use Jacob's Ladder, a rigorous reading comprehension program.

ENGL 110
I took ENGL 110 with the hardest professor. We wrote several essays and explored essay writing in great depth. It was a tough class, but I passed with flying colors.

I use a rigorous reading comprehension program, Jacob's Ladder, in which I challenge my students. My tutoring sessions are not for the faint of heart. The program includes advanced stories and the reading comprehension that inevitably comes with it.
Reading Tutoring
I use Jacob's Ladder for reading, and the difficult passages often lead to open ended questions that are challenging to answer. However, they meet state guidelines and then some, being an advanced and accelerated program with many standards and benchmarks that are attained through the completion of the program.
