Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I am a student-athlete on the swim and dive team at Cal Poly (I'm the cooler one... diver). I believe that excelling in both academics and athletics-- or even any other extracurricular-- is more than possible! Another cool fact is that I have 6 siblings, and I am the oldest of all of them, so I am well accompanied in nurturing others to become their best selves.

About Me

I am a second-year undergraduate student at Cal Poly, majoring in environmental engineering, which is a lot of chem, math, and physics! I am a local Arizonan who graduated from BASIS Charter high school. In my high school career, I took and passed 13 AP Exams, scoring 7 5s (Calc AB, BC, Chem, Physics, Bio, Env Science, Computer Science A). I am very personable and compassionate to any level of understanding of different subjects.

Experience

As a BASIS high school graduate, I took and passed 13 AP exams, scoring 7 5s in AP Calc AB, Calc BC, Chemistry, Physics 1, Biology, Environmental Science, and Computer Science A. After completing my first year at Cal Poly, I completed the Calculus sequence (Calc I-IV), the General Chemistry sequence (Chem I-III), and Physics I and II. I also have experience in AutoCAD.

I currently tutor peers and classmates at Cal Poly and was also a tutor throughout high school.

Approach

My approach to all subjects is very process orientated with an emphasis on patterns and strategies. I believe that it is very possible to master all subjects through practice and hard work. I think developing a solid foundation and understanding of the basics of any subject is extremely important and helpful for understanding subjects, as they build on top of each other
