A fun fact about myself is that I love to read and always research new cool facts! I’m always looking/open to learning new things. I have 3 nieces in which, 2 out of 3 are twins. I love spending time with family and seeing new things!

About Me

I am an MSU Alumni. I currently work for the State of Michigan with MDHHS assisting thousands of people with government assistance. I’m always considerate and thorough with my clients and those I interact with daily.

Experience

During my college career at Michigan State University, I had the awesome opportunity to tutor 6th-grade children at a local Lansing public school. I was employed with a program called “America Reads, America Counts”. I would spend a minimum of 20 hours a week at the local school during school hours. During this time I aided students in creating realistic academic goals including academic plans/strategies to assist with grades. I, also even helped with conflict resolution and lifestyle skills.

Approach

While being a tutor, I was a student myself. Retrospectively, this assisted me while tutoring. I allowed students to see that receiving extra help does not reflect anything negatively. Instead, it’s a proactive step in relation to your personal and academic growth. I allowed students also to list what may need to be most focused on. In return, an academic plan of success was created for realistic academic goals.
