I'm a science/new-york/new-york">computer science major at RPI, hoping to get a BS in science/new-york/new-york">Computer Science in Winter 2025.
Experience
In high school, I volunteered to teach kids in various coding programs. One was a free summer program to get kids interested in coding (in Python), and another was using code to interact with a Raspberry Pi demo "smart home."
Approach
One effective method of tutoring for SAT Math prep was when I signed up for a similar program. I was pretty strong at math, but he explained that he knows that the people in the class are good at math, but that doesn't mean that we'll get an 800. He showed us several time-saving strategies that I found helpful to ensure I finished early so I had time to double check I got every question correct. The strategies were very effective, and I ended up getting a 780 on the math section on my first SAT

I got an 800 on the SAT Math portion and I have some time saving tips to make sure you have time to check your work and to check that you got every question correct if you are strong at math. I'll also be able to teach you math concepts to get those questions correct.
