I love sneakers and sports. I played tennis and lacrosse in high school, so my affinity for the sports I played runs deep; however, I am a huge college basketball fan, and march madness is my favorite time of year.

About Me

I am a rising junior at Boston University studying Mechanical Engineering. Aerospace and manufacturing are fields I have a huge interest in, and I am getting my aerospace concentration as part of my degree.

Experience

I worked as a biweekly tutor for a non-profit organization called educational justice. They provide quality tutors for free to undereducated and underprivileged young students who the disadvantages of the public school system in low-income areas have burdened. I tutored Math, Science, and English to middle-school students. I also have extensive experience in ACT prep for Math, Science, and Reading sections.

Approach

I aim to figure out what areas they excel in or understand confidently first. The goal is to use that understanding as a stepping stone so they can build off their prior knowledge and feel confident in their ability to learn even more. Schools tend to create a learning routine students may find redundant, and I aim to make them enjoy the time spent learning topics that are tough to understand.
