I love singing with my students even if I don't have a golden voice. Sing a song!
But on a serious note, I love writing poems, essays, short stories and declamation pieces and I have been coaching and teaching my previous students in these areas. I was a storytelling/story-reading champion coach for many years.
About Me
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in English - Cum laude and earned 39 units (Complete Academic Requirements) for Master of Arts in English with a GPA of 3.90. I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers in the Philippines last November 2000 and was granted a Visiting Teacher Permit in the State of Indiana on December 2022.
I have 20 years of teaching experience at Elementary Level at Prieto Central School in Sorsogon -Philippines, 5 years teaching English online and one year in first Grade here in the US. Within my career, I have had great leadership experience as a facilitator in providing training and seminars in our school district in the Philippines. I have been a reading specialist in our school district working with struggling readers in one-on-one or small groups.
I have been a coach and a trainer for academic and extracurricular activities in our school district like declamation contests, storytelling contests, poem-writing contests, and academic contests.
I believe in setting high expectations for all my students and differentiating learning experiences for their wide range of needs and abilities. I am creative and passionate about helping children learn, have fun, and be their best.

20 years of teaching experience in a classroom-based setting teaching all subjects specifically Remedial and Beginning Reading/ English
5 years as an Online ESL tutor for Japanese, Chinese and some Americans in the US school both kids and adults

MastersEnglish Tutoring
Most of my subjects in my Undergraduate and Graduate School courses is English. I have been teaching English ever since I started my teaching career.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I worked as personal tutor since I graduated from College and help my student organize and prepare his homework. I have the skills in setting up routines so the students can religiously do his homework.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have been teaching reading to develop pupils genuine love for reading and improve their comprehension skills I use variety of teaching strategies that would make their learning fun and engaging.
Study Skills Tutoring
I always believe that setting up daily routines and expectations can help the students improve his study skills. Proper motivation is also needed to encourage them and develop their eagerness to study better.
Writing Tutoring
I have also been teaching students with this Writing subject especially the beginners. Not only on simply writing the letters with proper stroke but also enabling them to write sentences with proper capitalization an punctuation marks and later on make them write paragraphs and organize their ideas. There's so much skills in writing that need to be taught to the kids and the curriculum must be followed too. However, mastery is always needed before you proceed ti the next level.
ESL Tutoring
I have been teaching ESL online to Foreign students bot adults and kids for 5 years. I have the skills and expertise to make them learn and engage them in the lesson.
Reading Tutoring
I can work with the adults too as I have experience in teaching them online. I can surely build good rapport to adult students due to my personality and will surely help them develop reading skills in an easy way.
