Fun Facts
I enjoy different types of art. Drawing, playing my violin, and listening to music are my favorite types of art which usually keep me in my happy place. I have a younger brother who is 8 years younger than me and we were both born and raised in the United States. I grew up playing the violin which helped me stay focused in school but I lost touch with it when I started college and hope to pick it back up.
About Me
I am a senior Biology major at houston">the houston">University of Houston. I am currently studying for my MCAT and hope to get into a med school to pursue a career in the field of Oncology. I hope to attend Dell Medical School or UT Southwestern Medical School. My ultimate goal is to work with cancer patients and work to provide a safer and more efficient option for curing cancer.
Experience
Throughout the past few years, I have had a lot of time to tutor both full-time and part-time during college. I have tutored in person face-to-face as well as online for multiple years. I have always found myself volunteering to work with students and talk to them about school and help them figure out what they want to do in life. Tutoring allows me to spread my knowledge as well as improve my knowledge by exchanging it with the students.
Approach
Growing up, I realized that every person has their way of retaining and learning new information and it took me a long time to understand which method helped me the most. Being able to pass on knowledge to other students who may be struggling as they learn which technique helps them the most is something I enjoy doing. Being patient and communicating with my student to be successful in all their classes is something that I thrive with as a tutor.
