About Me

My name is Supranee Soontornprueksa. I am currently attending the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. I graduated from the U of A with a major in Physiology and a minor in Biochemistry. I am actually one class away from a math minor also but I was accepted to the College of Pharmacy beforehand.

I have started tucson">tutoring in high school with ASAP (After School Achievement Program) tucson">tutoring all subjects but focused on math and science. The program tutored students in high school and also grades 3-5. In my first year of college, I volunteered for a program called Five Star based out of Indiana. They also had a tucson">tutoring program for kids in grades 6-8. The last three years of college, I tutored back at the high school in ASAP again.

Depending on the environment, if there are enough people with the same problem, I will reteach the material then address individual questions. Otherwise, I will have the student tell me her problem and we will refer back in the textbook to the section they are learning and read it with the student. I can then ask the student what they do not understand. I do not like when students just ask me questions and I tell them the answer because as someone who has gone through school so far that did not get me nearly as far as the teachers who helped me to think through my problems. Once I figure out where the student is having troubles, I will then help the student get caught back up.
