With a BA in English and Creative Writing, I took many literary analysis classes and I am confident in my comprehension skills. My years of experience tutoring make me feel as though I can pass my comprehension skills onto my clients. I am also incredibly patient, and have experience teaching ESL students.

Writing Advance Tutoring

At the Writing Center, I helped dozens of students transition from high school level writing to college level writing. Often times traditional English classes don't adequately prepare you for advanced forms of writing, so learning how to properly write essays will help any student, whether they plan to major in English or otherwise. All students planning to pursue higher education need to learn to write at a college level.

AP English Tutoring

I took AP English in high school, both AP Literature and AP Language. I always received stellar grades in these categories, which led me to major in English through college. I have a lot of experience tutoring students in English.

Homework Coach Tutoring

As someone who once struggled with organization, I have found a method that works for me to stay on track with my college assignments. Organization is the key, so I feel comfortable assisting with homework assignments at a high school level. I will be able to help students stay one step ahead.

Most of my experience tutoring is with college students, but I am confident I will be able to help a middle schooler with reading skills. I am experienced in analysis, research, and discussion of texts. My degree in English should make me more than qualified to help.

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring

When it comes to the basic operations of a computer, I am more than capable. I have specialized training in online research, so using search engines is no problem for me. Anything a student would be expected to know, I will be able to teach them.

ESL Tutoring

I have specialized training when it comes to teaching ESL students how to write. I don't think I am educated to teach an ESL student English as a whole, but I will be able to work with an ESL student on their class assignments. Many ESL students I have worked with in the past have said that I greatly improved their writing confidence.

Study Skills Tutoring

When I was in middle school, my ADHD was undiagnosed, and because of this I never learned how to properly study. Now, I am confident in my ability to study, and I would love to help students learn how to study before outside factors become overwhelming. I know study habits look different for everyone, and I will help clients discover what works for them.
