I have always been a fan of art, as I grew up practicing art with my mother, who made me do craft activities often.
About Me
My name is Brandon Rios Silva, and I am currently a Junior college student in the animation program at Arizona State University (ASU), I was born in Phoenix AZ, but grew up mainly in Mexico, so different cultural values are of great importance in my life. Since I was little I have had a certain talent when it comes to storytelling, I enjoy bringing to life different scenarios that are in my mind.
Experience
I have experience teaching students from kindergarten to 6th grade Spanish through ABSi Spanish Programs at different schools throughout Arizona. I have experience using different animation software such as Blender, Adobe Suite, MAYA, etc. Additionally, I am experienced in using different art mediums such as watercolor, mixed media, and other digital software.
Approach
As a creative person myself, my teaching pedagogy is based on interactive and hands-on activities that not only explore the main areas of support but also encourage the students to apply their creativity to flourish their skills and find other problem-solving abilities in their work.

Spanish Tutoring
I have been a spanish tutor since my high school career, I have also taught spanish classes after school to children from kindergarten to 8th graders. I have also taken courses such as AP Spanish Language and Culture, and also other Spanish courses that have helped me build a strong foundation in the language.
Arts Tutoring
Through my studies at ASU's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts School of Art, I have taken courses such as 2D and 3D Design, Introduction to Drawing, Advanced Drawing, 3D Tools, Digital Media, Animation courses, Design and Games Art. , etc. This has improved my skills in the artistic medium, since I also continue to apply these different mediums in my personal projects and portfolios, further expanding my knowledge and techniques.
Conversational Spanish Tutoring

ESL Tutoring
During my time working as a Spanish teacher at ABSi Spanish, I received various trainings that not only allowed me to teach Spanish to non-Spanish speakers, but also gave me the tools to help those students who needed English language support as it was not their native language. I am still taking more courses in this subject and I continue my supervised training to improve my teaching methodologies.
Maya Tutoring
Throughout my college curriculum, I have taken various courses like Introduction to Animation, Imagination and 3D Animation, Animation Capstone, and others that have given me the knowledge to understand and use this software. Thanks to the projects done in these classes using MAYA, I got an A+ in my final grades in each of these courses.
