Fun Facts

I track the books I read every year, the goal this year is 100! In my free time, I like to surf and take group workout classes. I grew up speaking English and Spanish simultaneously and I'm currently teaching myself Italian.

About Me

I am a recent UC Berkeley graduate of Political Science, Psychology, and Journalism. I have a lot of experience with reading and writing since they are also activities I do for fun. I'm currently taking a break from school to gain experience working and prepare for graduate school!

Experience

As an education intern at the World Affairs Council of Northern California, I got to create lesson plans for new social justice-driven courses made for students in the Bay Area. However, implementing them and taking student's feedback is what helped me learn more about teaching. As a facilitator in a student-run course at UC Berkeley, I got to work with students of all ages who wanted to learn more about current events and social movements. Putting together different resources for learning

Approach

I've had to change my approach to studying multiple times throughout my life and I've seen my students do the same. I think it's important to understand the person that you're working with and their goals to create the best approach to learning. I have studied many different learning styles and continue to do so to further my education. Taking an individualized approach to learning is the best way to make sure students feel heard, understood, and prepared.
