Fun Facts
ARRT test prep is my FAVORITE subject. I teach full-time in a Radiography program and have for years, and I'm always so excited as the students approach their board. Seeing them succeed makes my day!
About Me
I am currently a full-time Faculty member in a Radiography program. Prior to that I also taught in other radiography, MRI, and CT programs.
I have a Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences from SIU. I have published research in peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Radiologic Technology) and presented at professional conferences (e.g. VSRT).
My specialty is tutoring/remediation with at-risk students and ARRT exam prep.
Experience
I have taught Radiography in some capacity since 2019 and had great success.
Currently, graduates of the program have a 100% pass rate on the ARRT Registry Exam. We have maintained this for the last 3 graduating classes.
I have focused my career on helping struggling students pass the board and earn their R.T. (R).
Approach
I take a unique approach to tutoring.
My method is to prepare question packets covering the target subjects. We will answer those questions together, breaking down the topic and holding a mini-lecture over any questions the student might answer incorrectly or seems unsure of. This helps ensure students are not devoting time to topics they already know and can instead focus on areas of weakness.

MastersARRT-Radiology Tutoring
I am an ARRT registered technologist. I teach full-time for a Radiography program (and have for several years). I personally earned a 97/99 on the ARRT exam. My students also consistently pass/score well on the exam.
Study Skills Tutoring
I teach full-time at a university, mainly adult learners returning to the classroom after some time in the workforce. I emphasize study skills that aid retention and make learning less overwhelming.
Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
I have many adult learners in my courses that may not be technologically savvy. I must ensure they are prepared to use basic computer functions to access online LMS (Blackboard, canvas, etc.), browse the web, log in to online testing platforms, and operate the Microsoft Office Suite.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
As a component of the Radiography program, my students must learn Anatomy and Physiology I and II, so I am very comfortable with this topic. Specialties include bony anatomy, urinary system, and GI tract.
Biology Tutoring
I am an allied health professional, so I am very comfortable with this topic. I teach about reproductive health, puberty, the muscular system, neurological structures, bony anatomy, the urinary system, and the GI tract. I also teach about cells, cell division, genetics, and metabolism.
