I am passionate about education and helping others. My goal is to help others improve their learning experiences. I have been tutoring Math and various subjects for almost 5 years. I love to play tennis, read, and spend time with my friends and family during my free time.

About Me

Hi! My name is Abby Hale. I graduated with my Associate degree in Economics in May 2022. I am currently a senior at Grand Canyon University in the process of completing my Bachelor's degree in Communication. I will be graduating in December of 2023. Additionally, I am pursuing a Certificate in Paralegal Studies at Phoenix College which I intend to complete by Spring of 2025. I have been on the Dean's or President's list since I started my continued education journey in the Fall of 2020. I love education, learning new things, and helping others. I look forward to working with you!

Experience

In high school, I was a peer tutor at Greenway High School for an Honors Algebra 2/ Pre-Calculus Class from August 2019 to May 2020. Once I began college, I started tutoring for the Math Solutions Center as a Math Tutor from August 2021 to October 2022, and I worked with students and teachers in a variety of math classes from Basic Math to Calculus 2. Aside from my tutoring experience with schools, I was a Freelance Tutor for numerous friends and family members in Math, English, Writing, and Economics.

Approach

As a child, I often felt helpless or somewhat like I was a lost cause in terms of my own education. I never felt like people were dedicated enough to want to help me succeed; it seemed as though teachers were only doing the bare minimum to ensure I would pass as opposed to excelling. Now, as an adult who has been fortunate enough to find a passion for education and success throughout high school and college, I want to dedicate time to helping people understand and succeed in their courses.
