About Me

I am a sophomore French and International Studies major at the miami">University of Miami. Originally, I grew up and attended high school in Baltimore, MD, but moved to Miami for school because I loved the culture of the city and the wide range of local opportunities that appeal to my majors.

Experience

Throughout my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to shadow and assist in an elementary French class. This class focused on verbal, written, and visual methods of learning, and I was able to watch how the students reacted to each. This experience improved my teaching skills with younger students and gave me a much better idea of how young minds best learn a new language.

Approach

As a current student, I know how it feels to be swamped with schoolwork. I myself have experienced being so confused with an assignment or concept that I have no idea where to start, and that is a really frustrating feeling. As a tutor, my goal would not only be to help the student grasp the specific concept(s) but also to put an organizational plan in place to effectively move forward with their coursework.
