I finished a Master's degree in Mediterranean history in 2012. I spent countless hours reading the work of Italian journalists in Eritrea and Ethiopia. I love archives and historical collections. In High School, the kids called me Mr. History. It has always been my favorite subject, and my passion for it has never faltered. About Me
I recently graduated from NYU with a Master's degree in Mediterranean studies. I went to college for History. I have lived abroad in two different countries. In 2010, I lived in Mendoza, Argentina. I worked on a winery as a quality control assist to the chemist. In 2011, I lived in Florence, Italy, spending most of my time doing archival research and fine tuning my language skills. I speak Italian and Spanish, and I am currently working on Portuguese. Last year I had a job where I organized a small collection of newspapers printed in Barcelona between 1900 and 1970. This small project allowed me to pick up some Catalan. At present, I work for a small non-profit organization dedicated to child welfare in state foster care. In my freetime, I take language lessons and play guitar. The musical qualities of language makes learning a hobby for myself. I really enjoy reading and talking about what I have read with others. My preference, above all other genres, is historical non-fiction, especially economic history. Although I read a lot of history, I also enjoy my fair share of literature. I can talk for hours on end about my favorite writers from Latin America.
