Fun Facts
I absolutely LOVE art. Whether it’s visual art, writing, plays, movies, or anything!!! I draw myself, both digitally and with paper and pencil, and have for many years! Maybe I can share some with you :). I actually made posters and keychains for my favorite TV show at the moment, The Owl House!! I highly recommend the show to anyone.
About Me
I am a sophomore at Pace University, studying Writing for Diversity and Equity in Theater and Media, and Film and Screen Studies! I love working with people of all ages and teaching or helping in any way I can. I believe that learning should be an exchange between both the teacher and the student and believe it is a collective experience rather than just me telling you what to do.
Experience
I grew up always helping my classmates and family members with their schoolwork, whether it was math problems, correcting essays, or guiding through creative writing stories (and essays as well.) I have also led activity groups with kids, teens, and adults while volunteering at an aquarium to help people learn more about marine life and the dangers of pollution. I have a 4.0 GPA have gotten a 100% in my writing classes, and have won awards for short stories, plays, and television scripts!
Approach
I’m neurodivergent and English is my second language (but I could speak fluently since the 2nd grade), so I know how it is to struggle with subjects. I’ve gotten help over the years, and am now able to maintain a 4.0 GPA now in college! I know the way school teaches isn’t for everyone, and I understand that just because someone might need extra help doesn’t mean they aren’t smart! I come from a place of compassion empathy and connection, rather than prestige, intellectualism, and strictness.
