Fun Facts

I am a musician on the side of my visual art career! It is an additional creative outlet for me. I enjoy singing as well as playing guitar, bass, and keys. Interior design, creative writing, and installation art are also ways that I channel creative expression in addition to my regular art studio practice. I am a cat mom, avid reader, and coffee lover. Before diving into my art studio career full-time I was a professor of graphic design and photography.

About Me

I am a studio artist, graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. I love sharing my skills and years of experience with my students! Watching my students grow is such a marvelous thing to behold. I primarily focus on stylized portraiture and creative typography in my studio practice. I have extensive experience in creating a wide variety of graphic design, illustration, and photographic works for both personal and commercial purposes.

Experience

My skills and background have a broad range from art and design to marketing direction, client consultation, and business management. My past experience includes working as a professor of graphic design and photography, elementary art teacher, display coordinator and installation artist, marketing and imaging director, graphic artist, fashion and commercial photographer, wedding photographer, and as member of multiple marketing department design teams.

Approach

When I was a student, it made all the difference in the world to me to have a teacher or mentor who truly cared deeply about my well-being and was intensely invested in my development. It is my top priority as an educator to provide that kind of support and guidance to my students while making the learning process fun!
