A fun fact about me is that I love to write poetry, as well as music. You can always find me thinking about a rhyme scheme or humming a melody!

About Me

I am an English major at houston">the houston">University of Houston pursuing my bachelor’s degree. I received my associate's degree from Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas. I am originally from Nigeria, but Texas has been home to me since I was about 1 year old.

Experience

While receiving my Associate’s degree at my community college, I had the opportunity to join the English department’s tutoring sector. I was able to work one-on-one with individual students to improve their skills.

Approach

Growing up, I had always had a love for English. It was always my favorite subject and I always felt like I excelled the most in it. As I got older, I realized that I wanted to share the love that I had for this subject. I became interested in pursuing English on a serious level and this reflected in my major choices when I got to college. I hope to be able to inspire the youth to not be fearful of writing or reading and to be able to embrace the joys that come with excelling in English language
