Fun Facts
One of my passions is event and interior decorating! I love being creative and watching how things come together in the end the vision coming to life. I enjoy traveling learning about different cultures and trying new cuisines. I've flown a light aircraft plane before. What I enjoy a lot is helping others and seeing how I've been able to positively impact their life.
About Me
Additionally, I work as a Marketing Specialist. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in Merchandising and a focus in Business with a 3.72 GPA. I won Marketing Student of the Year and later served on the Fashion Marketing Board at Dallas Colleges. I've always loved math and numbers because of the aspect of problem-solving.
Experience
Currently, I'm a Virtual Educational Training Producer at the US Math Recovery Council. Before that, I was a Professor of Fashion Marketing for 5 years where I developed course curriculums and signature assignments to help enhance student's knowledge and skills. Early on, I was a tutor for Razor Elementary where I participated in both in-house and after-school tutoring. The focus was on math but I assisted with reading and homework as well. I was later promoted to on-site supervisor of the program.
Approach
One thing to know is that everyone learns differently. I strive to first identify an individual's level of understanding. Then, I determine where to start and how to approach training methods based on their learning needs. Once I understand an individual's level of processing and distributing numbers, functions, and basic math concepts, I'm able to properly guide their learning path. With that, I will develop personalized lessons and activities based on their learning ability.

I have taught Fashion Buying, Principles of Selling and Principles of Retailing at the collegiate level. Much of the level of math extends beyond the elementary level. Basic math functions are used to solve many of the formulas used. The skills are easily transferable with proper teaching techniques.
