Fun Facts
I Irish danced for ten years of my life! I recently picked up the hobby again during my undergraduate years at SUNY Geneseo where I was the captain of the school's Irish dance team. I am also a twin (I'm the oldest by two minutes)!
About Me
I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2022, where I was awarded a spot on the school's Presidential Scholars List (students who have exceptional academic performance and are nominated by staff because of their exemplification of the school's values). I graduated with a 4.0 and am now a student at Teachers College, Columbia University working toward obtaining my Master's degree.
Experience
In High School, I served as a volunteer tutor for Math and English as a part of the National Honor Society. At SUNY Geneseo, I was a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Intern for two different Psychology courses and gained plenty of valuable teaching and tutoring experience. I worked on one with students to tackle any concerns they had about class material and aided them in excelling in the class.
Approach
I come at tutoring with a person-centered approach, meaning I meet the students wherever they are that day. I am patient, and empathetic and understand that learning can be frustrating and difficult at times. I want to work with students to gain the skills and knowledge that they need to succeed.
