I recently became a chicken tender. Yes, you read that right! This year I became the proud pet mom to four chickens. I’ve never had chickens before, but I have learned that they require lots of tending!

About Me

I am a small business owner and a mother of four. My two youngest are middle schoolers, who are constantly teaching me a thing or two.

Experience

Currently, I am working for a learning center that has partnered with local schools, helping little kids who are struggling to read. After school, I private tutor at home and remotely. At the moment, I have students ranging from 2nd to 8th grade. In the past, I have worked as a test scorer for a data company grading standardized tests for children in 3rd through 5th grade. Also, I spent a year as a full-time learning coach for my son, who attended online school.

Approach

My approach is simple. Find a way to connect with the child that makes them like learning. My goal is for each student to be confident and proud of their skill sets, while understanding that there is always more to learn.
