Despite currently living in New York, I grew up in Los Angeles with 3 siblings and 2 adorable dogs!

About Me

I am currently a freshman studying Dance with a concentration in Body Science and Motion at Marymount Manhattan College. I attended a private college prep school; Viewpoint School. I earned 2 academic awards and was appointed to the Dean's list in my Senior year.

Experience

The previous school that I had previously been attending since Kindergarten wanted to foster good connections between the elementary schoolers and the middle and high schools. Because of this I always found myself in an elementary classroom. We would read, write, and do all sorts of fun activities with them.
At the age of 16, I worked as a Camp Counselor at my school as well. At the academic day camp, we created a fun environment for children with hands-on learning experiences. I primarily taught

Approach

As a child, I found myself getting lost in schoolwork because I was too afraid to ask questions for fear of slowing the class down or being interrupted. In third grade when I began to tutor outside of school, I found great success and felt more comfortable in the classroom and having more fun. When I work at summer camp, my goal is to make sure every student knows that is okay to be confused and to ask for help. At the end of the day, I believe that learning is made easier and more accessible
