Fun Facts

A big passion of mine is music, singing, and dancing. I love to spend my free time jamming out to all kinds of genres of music in my car, at home, or at concerts. I also love to sing and dance along by myself or with friends too.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of the Linguistics Master's program and the TESOL Graduate Academic Certificate program at the University of North Texas. I graduated summa cum laude in my program, and in a year I plan to apply to teach English abroad in Japan.

Experience

As a tutor with the company Brilliant Grades, I tutored 5-6th graders in English, Language Arts, and Reading online for 4 months last year. As a teaching assistant for the Linguistics program at the University of North Texas, I taught and tutored students in Linguistics for about a year. As a teacher with LTC Langauge Solutions, I work in person with elementary-age students learning English as their second language.

Approach

After learning about various teaching methods through my Master's program, I found that hands-on learning was the approach I wanted to take with my students. Purely lecture-based learning can only benefit one type of learner if any, so it is important to me to have a variety of activities and approaches present in my lessons to help students and tailor lessons to my students.
