Fun Facts
I have an extreme passion for swimming! I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and was fortunate enough to advance to nationals in the 100 and 200 Freestyle. I still find time to swim laps whenever the chance presents itself. The funniest part about my swimming career was that every time a person would approach my mother about how great of a swimmer I was, they asked her "Did you teach him how to swim at an early age," and she would laugh because she never learned how to swim herself.
About Me
I was born in Corpus Christi, TX and live there for 23 years before moving to Austin, TX to continute my education at Austin Community College (ACC). The decision to move cities was difficult because I am very family oriented, but thankfully I had the full support of my peers and have had an amazing experience so far. I am double majoring in Mechanical Engineeing and Mathematics at ACC. I joined many organizations during my time at ACC and the most notorious was the Honor Society because I was able to meet so many like-minded people who shared the same interest of wanting to becoming successful in their education and future careers, my involvement helped me strive to become better in my studies and as a tutur. I was given the opportunity to be a teachers assistant (TA) for a Engineering Physics 1 course and made myself the promise to give all the students my support and attention, because I was never given that experience from any of my past educators, and I want to prevent that from happening to more students.
Experience
I taught students numerous courses during my time in High School and College, all ranging from entry-level algebra to high-level calculus. I realized that my tutoring methods worked immensely when each scholar that I trained finished the semester with higher grades than their previous semesters. It was a great accomplishment knowing that the promises I made myself in becoming an amazing tutor finally came true.
Approach
I had various complications during my time in school because I was always behind in the material that I should've known years prior. The schools had labeled me as a "gifted" child due to my struggles in class, and no matter how many attempts teachers made to assist me in better understanding the material, they never successfully made me a better student and eventually gave up on me. However, I fought very hard to reach my goal of becoming a scholar student because of the doubts everybody ha
