About Me

I’m currently a senior at Lehman College and recently received my associate's in Mathematics from Hostos Community College. Outside of tutoring, I work as an Engagement Specialist for buildOn. Our work centers around service learning.

Experience

I worked as a teacher assistant for 1 year before changing positions to be a Math in-class tutor. There I focused on College quantitative reasoning, Algebra 1, Beginner’s calculus, and Geometry. I currently do private tutoring as well.

Approach

I always review a student's skill with a light conversation about what is currently covered in class then a diagnostic exam. I would then walk through the concept step by step with the help of guided problems before allowing the student to work on their own. Students are then measured with an exit ticket.
