Fun Facts
I am left-handed and was my high school's valedictorian. I have certificates in different areas such as event planning just because I like learning new things.
About Me
I have been working with students since I was a teenager. I majored in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. I always wanted to educate and have been a sub-teacher in both charter schools and now public schools. My long-term goal is to obtain a master's in education/new-york/new-york">special education or ABA. I enjoy working with children and seeing them become the best version of themselves.
Experience
I am a current sub-teacher in public schools in NYC. I started in March 2021 and worked from infant to 12th grade. I was a sub-teacher in charter schools from 2018-2021. I worked in Prek-12th grade. I held long-term positions as a teacher assistant in dual language K class and as a 1st-grade reading teacher. I was a virtual tutor from Dec-Jan for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade ELA small groups.
Approach
I believe every child has what it takes to succeed. Just often times, they may lack the support received at home and in school. Some educators stick out more because students generally feel they do care for them. If you want to see the difference, be the difference.
