I was a camp counsellor for 4 years at a camp I attended as a camper. I am a member of the FFA. I am a huge science nerd and have a lot of enthusiasm for the subject. My entire family are TCU graduates

About Me

I am a Texas Tech graduate! I recently tried out commercial insurance sales during the COVID-19 epidemic and realized I really dislike the nature of sales even if I'm good at it.

I myself was a student who had a hard time applying myself in school so I love teaching younger people the tips and tricks that helped me succeed!

Experience

I tutored age ranges from 2nd grade to freshman in high school, sometimes I was an actual tutor and helping the kids learn a subject, other times I was more of a "coach" and simply gave the kids an outlet to do their homework in a fun but engaging way. I grew up in Aledo so I have tons of experience dealing with parents who are VERY involved with every assignment their kid is doing, and navigating that. Approach

I never understood the importance of school as a kid, I was very smart but applying myself or focusing always felt hard. I had some amazing mentors who taught me how to refocus my attention and actually study or pay attention. In my experience this advice needs to come from someone the student can somewhat relate to otherwise the advice will be lost on them or they won't take it seriously.
