About Me

I have a passion for helping others. Education and self-improvement are among the most important things anyone can do. My approach is to develop a personalized series of lessons for my students. With their feedback, we solidify their strengths and target their weaknesses with patience and compassion. Through guidance and skills-based lessons together, we will grow your knowledge efficiently and excitingly.


I have a Bachelor in Professional Writing from the University of Western Connecticut. I've been published three times and currently am working on a fourth. I have over ten years of experience as a journalist covering a range of subjects from movies to sports to current events.


Most recently, I'm a TEFL-certified teacher and trained to create Presentation, Practice, and Production (PPP) and Test Teach Test (TTT) lesson plans. I believe using different methods that target specific skills can help set up a healthy foundation of what works and what needs work. Together with my students, I will produce a personalized and productive lesson plan that will engage and enlighten.


I have studied Spanish and Portuguese heavily, but also know Italian, French, Dutch, German, Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish. By being a student of other languages, I understand the many challenges that people face when learning a language. I incorporate this knowledge into my teaching style. A mix of patience, compassion, and at times encouragement goes a long way toward being an effective teacher.
