Fun Facts

I was self-taught in the beginning, starting at the age of 11 with my step mothers' Spanish dictionary from the '70s. I was reading chapter books up to 400 pages by the time I was in 2nd grade and was bored with reading English by 11. So I would read books in Spanish. I became the Spanish club president all 4 years in high school. I was in AP Spanish IV by Junior Year which I petitioned to get to which mostly native speakers with an interest in Spanish literature in that class

About Me

I am a mother of 4 beautiful girls. Two of them have fur and four legs - a chihuahua and an Alaskan Husky, an exploring year, and my brilliant 8-year-old. I love the Spanish language and teach them also! My goal is for them to enter the workforce bilingual and equipped with knowledge of how to read, write, speak, and comprehend the Spanish language just as I've helped students,

Experience

I have done tutoring since high school as Spanish Club President and as well at the University of Missouri-Columbia with peers and high school and middle school students. As a tutor for Frog Tutoring, I love that I have the chance to impact the lives of aspiring Spanish speakers and readers!

Approach

I had a rough home life and escaped from books and school. I had an affinity for reading and once I mastered the English language, I fell into Spanish and immersed myself in it wholeheartedly. As a tutor, I shared my passion for the language with my students so they know how to not just be translators, but have a deep understanding of the language itself.
