Fun Facts

At a young age, I quickly learned that I loved art! I loved drawing and painting and soon began experimenting with several different mediums and techniques. Specifically, I most enjoy drawing semi-realism! I also enjoy playing songs on the piano although I don't know how to read music notes.

About Me

I am currently a freshman at New York University beginning in January! I plan on majoring in biology on the pre-med track and hope to get accepted into a medical school! My goal is to pursue a career in the medical field, preferably dermatology.

Experience

Beginning in my sophomore year of high school, I became a member and peer tutor of the Math Honor Society, and later, the National Honor Society, where I helped tutor students in several areas of mathematics, Spanish, and English as I also received the Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish and English. Recently, I have continued my experience by working as an after-school tutor/counsellor and Frog Tutoring allows me to spend even more time supporting students in need of help.

Approach

As a child, I found myself learning at a fast pace. However, as I began taking challenging courses in high school, I realized that I had trouble learning and understanding many concepts. With the help of teachers and friends who spent time trying to teach me individually, I was able to improve my understanding of the material and overcome challenging problems. As a tutor, I attempt to ensure that each student is given the time and materials they need to improve and succeed!
