About Me

I am a sophomore Elementary Education major. but may switch my major to Human Development. It is something I am still thinking about. If I continue with Elementary Education a grade level I would be interested in teaching if available would be second grade.

Experience

I do enjoy working with kids! I worked at a Summer Camp with 3-5-year-olds and had a lot of fun getting to engage with the students. When I was in High School I had the opportunity to work with a second-grade class for a few months and was able to help students with their writing work. In one of my College courses in the upcoming semester, I am going to have the opportunity to tutor elementary-aged students once a week.

Approach

Math is a subject I have struggled with since Elementary School, and I have always found that having a tutor was very beneficial to being able to do better in math. In terms of study skills, something I have found beneficial, especially in College is when writing terms on a flashcard or another piece of paper, it is important to write out examples of the term to help be able to apply what you are learning.
