Fun Facts

I am a mom of four very active boys. 20.17,17,14. They are multi-sport athletes so I spend a lot of time cooking and doing laundry. LOL My husband and I watch a lot of football basketball and baseball. On a side note…..My mom, sister, and I published a book in 2022 entitled “ABEL”. you can find it on Amazon of course.

About Me

I am 44 soon to be 45. I am passionate about teaching, my family, and just living each day for the day. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004 and have been defining my disease ever since. It does not define me nor does it let my family and I stop from experiencing what we want to. My mom, sisters and I go out in the communities and give talks about our book. I am greatly blessed with my family and forever thankful for them.

Experience

I have been in education since 2001. Doing multiple things. I have taught middle school science and remedial math. When I moved to the elementary level they had me doing Title I so I did a lot of reading skills and just helping students K-5 in any subject they were struggling with. I would also sub when teachers were gone and no one to fill in their place. Most recently subbed August 2023-October 2023 in the 7th grade Language Arts because the teacher turned in their resignation the day before

Approach

Each student is different. It is important to identify how they learn and then develop a plan of action to help make them successful
