Fun Facts

I am a teacher turned entrepreneur- I own my own Business called, "Imagination Station Studios." I develop curriculum and teach art classes at events. I am married to my husband of 15 years, have 4 dogs, 2 kids and a bearded dragon lizard. I love animals! In my spare time, I enjoy going to the zoo and botanical gardens to visit animals and plants. My favorite place to visit is in Gainesville, "The UF Butterfly museum."

About Me

I'm an energetic self-starter type of teacher. I love to learn and enjoy going to botanical gardens, gardening, and spending time with my animals. I have a passion for teaching and helping my students grow. I've been teaching for 15 years mostly in the Gifted and education/florida/st.-petersburg">special education settings. I currently substitute teach and provide online tutoring sessions to allow me to schedule my work time, so I can also work on my part-time teaching business.

Experience

I've had a lot of experience tutoring and I'm an excellent tutor for Frog Tutoring because I've already have experience in teaching and working with students. I understand the curriculum and have experience in presenting information in a way that is easy for my students to understand. As a Frog tutor, I can provide one-on-one attention to students who need extra help, which is not always possible in a classroom setting.

Approach

My best qualities include being patient, understanding, and empathetic towards their students. I'm able to explain concepts in a way that is easy for the student to understand and I am adaptable to their teaching style to meet the needs of each student. I'm organized reliable, on time, and set clear expectations for my students which is being consistent with their tutoring sessions.
