Fun Facts
I love tea and have several cups of it a day. I can also quote scenes and sketches from Monty Python's Flying Circus, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Monty Python's Life of Brian by heart.
About Me
I graduated from Hanover College, a private liberal arts institution on the banks of the Ohio River, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Initially, I went in to study Classics but found a significant overlap (and more job opportunities) with History. I particularly love reading about medieval history and the Victorians. Other disciplines that interest me include foreign languages and theology. I hope in the near future to go back to school to get a Master's in Divinity and discern holy orders in the Episcopal Church.
Experience
During my junior and senior years of high school, taking French 3 and 4, I tutored students in French I and 2, helping them in particular with pronunciation and verb conjugation, two areas in which many of them struggled. Since I was the only student who took French 4, I would spend most of the class period tutoring after I had finished my translation work.
Approach
As a child, I would struggle in school because subjects weren't always explained in a way that made sense to me. It felt as though the information was merely thrown at me without a way of telling me why exactly something was so. Consequently, I couldn't grasp something that was simple for most people to understand.
Nowadays I tend to approach a subject by taking it apart, understanding its core concepts, how they relate to one another, and then seeing how they fit alongside each other as form
