One of my favorite things to do when I have some time to myself would be to read and explore local areas with my friends for my photography passion. I love exploring new and scenic places and taking pictures that signify that moment for my memories. My all-time favourite would have to be reading. You can catch me reading a book anywhere!

About Me

Hello! My name is Sreya Gollamudi and I am a student pursuing to become a doctor. I graduated in May 2023 from Texas Woman's University with a major in Child Development. I really enjoy teaching children math because I believe the foundation for mathematics should be well understood from a young age in order to genuinely succeed in the subject. Many students, including myself when I was a child, struggled with enjoying math because the concept was not taught in a way that made it enjoyable for the students, thus making it seem more like a chore to them! This can hurt a child's concept understanding. As a tutor, I will make sure to take my time and have patience while working with kids until we find a great learning method that helps them understand the subject and succeed. I really look forward to working with everyone!

Experience

I have more than 5 years of experience working with children and teaching them math so I believe I can be a great teacher for your child! I started my experience working as a volunteer tutor in Kumon and Gideon Math and Reading centres for children. This was a great kickoff into the tutoring world and this is where I learned various methods of approaches in teaching a child and making sure they not only learned the concept but understood it as well. Approach

As a child, I often struggled with math because I could never understand the subject and have fun while doing it. This would make me feel demoralized and would result in me not working harder to succeed. However, my mother, who was a math teacher, taught me determination and how to keep a positive outlook in life.
