Fun Facts

I once had a huge passion for dancing and performing when I was younger. Those who have recently met me find it hard to believe so, but I loved to dance and still quite honestly do! I played volleyball all throughout my high-school career and had a blast doing so! I have a huge fear of large bodies of water-- the ocean scares me so much. Though most people dread to, I love babysitting. I love caring for children and watching them mature.

About Me

Hi there! I'm Julie Linda Kim, a current student at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. I have grown up in New York all of my life. I am currently eighteen years old, and have declared my major to be early childhood education/education/new-york/manhattan">special education. I have known that I have a passion for making an impact on peoples' lives at a young age from when I was just in middle school.

I've worked with younger children for multiple years and have tutored both middle-school students and high-school students throughout my years in high-school. I was a private family manhattan">tutor for a middle-school girl from her seventh grade to the end of her eighth grade year. I tutored her in mainly math and English, but made myself available for any subject she needed excess help in. I have also tutored a high-school boy in math and English for a year before I graduated high-school. I am very well equipped and knowledgeable of SAT Test Prep because I had an SAT manhattan">tutor/mentor from the end of my eighth grade to the end of my junior year. I took multiple SAT exams and took a few actual SAT exams until I reached my goals.

I have naturally adapted great methods and approaches to SAT preparation with the help of my mentor, and am nothing but excited to pass them onto others. I understand that everybody works at a different pace and that every student is a different learner. Beyond this, I believe everybody has potential, and this belief of potential is what strives students to succeed.
