Fun Facts
I had the pleasure of traveling through Europe and the Middle East when I was younger. I have lived in Costa Rica and have been fortunate to experience many other cultures. My father is a retired Professor of Sociology and possesses every baseball card from 1948 through 1973.
About Me
I have a degree in History from Rutgers University in New Jersey. I attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and pursued a degree in Jewish American History. My career path went in the direction of the Hospitality Industry and I have been fortunate to open restaurants and run operations around the country. I helped homeschool my teenage son before enrolling him in High School. I have always had a passion for American History and using my writing skills to generate enthusiasm with anecdotal tales and essential language for maximum comprehension and understanding.
Experience
Although I do not have a formal background in education from the professional level, my upbringing in academic households and my homeschooling of my son have prepared me to always be in teaching mode. I oversee many employees in my Hospitality career and am very commerce teaching and training.
Approach
I was quite introverted growing up and spent a great deal of my time in school, studying and writing. I studied math, English, and history, and found great success in my ability to help others who found strengths in other subjects. As I became more gregarious once I reached college, and eventually grad school, I continue to develop very very strong writing skills, and the ability to approach history from many different angles and viewpoints. I have traveled all over the world and these experiences.
