Native to Phoenix, I am a competitive Artistic Figure Skater. (It's like ice skating on roller skates!) I've been roller skating for 15 years but just started competing in 2020.

About Me

Before attending a university, I attended both South Mountain Community College and Phoenix College. Here, I completed my general studies, as well as completed all the language courses for American Sign Language. While in community college I maintained a 4.0 GPA and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.

Experience

I have volunteered in various elementary schools in the city, where I have worked primarily with ELL Students. I have experience in leading engaging small groups and helping scholars rediscover a love for learning through creative SEI strategies. I also come from a family of educators.

Approach

I didn't discover my love for learning until college. Finding this passion was difficult in grade school mostly because my teachers did not utilize differentiation or engaging teaching strategies. As a tutor I cater to the scholar as an individual, communicating with them, to target any academic struggles they may have in a way that is comfortable for them.
