Fun Facts

I love dinosaurs! Sometimes I will even listen to "dinosaur jungle ambience" when I fall asleep -- it's like rainforest sounds with some dinosaur roars here and there. I also love birds and volunteer at an aviary for non-releasable birds of prey in my free time. I hope to visit all of the National Parks in the continental United States in my lifetime, and I have logged sightings of over 90 different bird species! My biggest hobbies are roller skating and anything where I get to be creative.

About Me

I graduated from the University of South Florida in 2022, with a B.S. degree in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy. I am planning to pursue a graduate degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, and my end goal is to become an ornithologist and environmental educator! I love talking about science and the natural world.

Experience

Throughout my college experience, I worked as an Orientation Leader and Peer Coach, welcoming students to campus and aiding in their college transition. In my time in these roles, I have helped hundreds of students both one-on-one and in small groups. Additionally, I have experience with environmental education in my local community, interacting with people to increase their understanding of the world around us.

Approach

I have a passion for helping students transcend obstacles in learning -- I believe productive learning should challenge you, but ultimately lead to understanding and growth. There have been times in my life when I have felt great confidence in my academic success, but there have also been times when I have struggled, alone and unsure of where to go for help.
